In December of 2013, the RCA began the Yank the Mank initiative. Under this plan, one cliff is chosen each year, and the fixed draws are removed from the cliff. Generally this occurs at the end of the fall season, right before winter hits (we hope!). By removing all the fixed draws, we plan to effectively “reset” the cliff for the upcoming season.
Our first cliff under this initiative was Waimea. Right before winter arrived in 2013, we removed every single fixed quickdraw from the cliff. The mankiness of some of the draws was striking (see pictures), and validated our desire to continue this initiative.
